Fiddler's Elementary

I first got my idea for this project when I was volunteering at Fiddler's Elementary School. I would spend most of my time working on homework with the students. We met for short periods of time, and I did not really have the chance to get to know the kids. I decided I could turn this into a EDGE project though.

North Elementary

Next step, North Elementary. I spent about two months at this school and helped the volunteers with various activities. I would sometimes even help the students make projects for school, such as the science fair.

Canyon View Middle School

Canyon View is where I spent the largest amount of time. I was at Canyon View for two semesters and was able to develop long term relationships with the students. I really enjoyed helping them learn new concepts and reinforce what they had learned in class. The projects we did in class were more enjoyable than the elementary too.

Cedar Middle School

I began particularly close with three students at Cedar Middle. We would spend time practice music, art projects, and making class activities. This is when I began to realize I was effecting these students and their lives. We often would travel to various places around Cedar City to perform our activities.
